Good Shepherd Convent, Parur is the second branch of the Congregation of Franciscan Handmaids of the Good Shepherd in India.  This community was established on 7 October, 1989, at Nanthiattukunnam in Kaitharam Parish, Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. Initially Sisters involved in various ministries of the parish.  Along with this, we started a nursery school and a boarding for poor girls of all ages. Sisters assist for physical, mental, psychological and spiritual growth of the girls in the boarding.  At present we are rendering our services with Catechism, family visit, kindergarten and with various activities and needs of the parish.
