The light of the Franciscan Handmaids of the Good Shepherd Congregation began to spread towards the States in India other than Kerala.   On May 24, 1995, a small community was formed in Rahuri, in the district of Ahamadnagar, Maharashtra, Diocese of Kalyan. We collaborate in the mission of Vincetian Fathers in parish ministry and social work in the villages. Sisters are also working in an English Medium School run by the Vincentians. Gradually, in 2008 the Congregation started   a Playschool for the small kids from the village and a boarding for those students coming to school from faraway places.
